Spawned by Lauren's love for volunteering in the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) , we wanted to continue to work with this department at the Morristown Medical Center. New mothers have a lot to worry about when being discharged from the NICU, so the LEFF Board of Directors decided to try and ease that process by providing a few essentials. With the help of generous donations from suppliers, we were able to put together this Newborn Baby Bag for mother's to leave the hospital with, and the project has been a HUGE success!
With the help of social workers, the LEFF distributed an initial 17 newborn baby bags to families in need at the Morristown Medical Center's NICU! We received such wonderful feedback from the social workers and mothers of newborns, that we've decided to continue this project. On November 26th we packed 20 additional bags for distribution as they are needed, but that is just the start of it! Thanks to the support of many friends and family, on April 14th we packed an additional 100 bags!
We had a lot of hands to help us back 100 bags on April 14th, 2012, and we'll need more help in the future. More information to come, so if we don't have your email address please click here to submit it!
We are very thankful for those who generously donated supplies, however we still purchase many of the items listed below and would appreciate your monetary support through the big Donate button at the top of your screen!
