We could not be happier that Jessica Orr has joined the LEFF Board! Not only is Jessica a wonderful person who was close to both Lauren and Emily, but she has immense experience running non-profit foundations and she has already become an extremely valuable addition to the foundation!
We are thrilled to introduce the new Lauren & Emily Failla Foundation! By honoring both these very special women, we aim to more than double the contributions made to the community!
St Peter's Episcopal Church in Morristown is hosting a "Festival Evensong" on 2/23 at 3pm, which is a religious service, culminating a week-end of choral workshops with guest conductor, Bruce Neswick. The choir festival is funded by the Emily and Lauren Choir fund at St. Peter's. We love supporting anything that is done in memory of Emily and Lauren, and we encourage all to go for an afternoon of beautiful music! We'll see you there!
We've supplied the Morristown Medical's NICU with more baby bags, packed at our event in April 2012!
Happy Friday everyone! The LEFF Board has had a busy start of the year! We've been heads down on planning the Spring event on May 12th at the Bickford Theater in Morristown and have received an award from a local arts organization which will be presented next month!
On March 27th, the LEFF was recognized as an Outstanding Arts Advocate At the Morris Art's Celebrate the Arts event. We were honored to receive this award, and are thrilled with the success of the Mentoring Program which provides a great opportunity for young artists at Morristown High School.
2014 Outstanding Arts Advocate: The Lauren & Emily Failla-Foundation PDF
The Lauren and Emily Failla Foundation has presented the second LEFF high school scholarship at the Awards Ceremony at Morristown High School. Our 2014 recipient is Mary Kate Effner, a terrific young woman who has volunteered in her church, at school, and in the community.
Frank and I are still buoyed by the incredible support and affection we received at the "Broadway at the Bickford" gala on Monday. Wow! We have the most generous friends, family, and colleagues imaginable. Thank you to those who travelled a great distance on "unpredictable" airlines, drove from throughout the metro area, and those who made time on a busy week night to attend the event celebrating our daughters' lives. Because of the hard work and giving spirit of so many, our Foundation goal was more than doubled! We are feeling very grateful and extremely blessed.
Make sure you save the date for a service project on May 9th!
